Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Critically analyse and apply an integrated comprehensive understanding of the normal adult and paediatric anatomical structures as visualised in planar radiography, CT and MRI images;
2. Contextualise and apply anatomical surface landmarks as they relate to the anatomical relationships of each region;
3. Correlate and synthesise understanding of the anatomical relationships of the major structures of each region using planar radiography, CT and MRI; and
4. Critically recognise and articulate the anatomical variations between adult and paediatric structures.

Skills development
Students are required to have a thorough understanding of equivalent units Introduction for Regional Anatomy and Physiology & Systemic Anatomy and Physiology. The knowledge of the correct terminology in diagnostic medical imaging, basic knowledge of the various imaging modalities and their application to different patient presentations, is an advantage.
This unit contributes toward the following Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia Professional capabilities for medical radiation practice and National Board approved medical radiation practice accreditation standards

Learner engagement
The students will participate in various learning activities such as lectures, tutorials and self-directed learning. The teaching schedule is available on Canvas site and allocated teaching rooms available via 麻豆社 timetable/Allocate+. As well as the lectures and tutorials, students are encouraged to engage in at least 2 hours of independent, self-directed learning per week.
